Max Cement is involved in extensive CSR initiatives which facilitates in formulating a full-fledged public relation cell, that completely looks into various aspects of community development and welfare programs like:

  • Construction and development of roads in Villages
  • Building of schools for improvement of educational standards
  • Building a church
  • Sponsoring various local sports and cultural activities
  • Training and employment for local community
  • Providing a well-equipped dispensary for immediate first aid to labors and organizing free regular health checkups for general villagers
  • Employment generation for several local people in our plant in various departments
  • Encouraging participation of local people in economic activity by procuring raw material from the locals.
  • Relief distribution to the flood victims in Assam and Garo Hills during the flood disaster
  • Established sanitation and toilets for the local villagers
  • The company also contributed in the Prime Minister Relief fund during the massive flood in Uttarakhand in 2013

Due to Max Cement’s constant initiatives the socio-economic profile of the region of its operations have improved considerably.


FREE MEDICAL CAMP ORGANIZED BY GREEN VALLIEY INDUSTRIES

Green Valliey Industries Ltd. had the opportunity and privilege to sponsor and organize the ‘Medical Camp’ with the support of Community Health Team of “NAZARETH HOSPITAL” as a part of its CSR Programme held on 05th Feb’2016 at Nongsning Village from 10:00 AM onwards. The GVIL Health Camp was conducted with its objective to serve the medically deprived and local people of Nongsning Village. The Medical Camp was wholly sponsored and organized by Green Valliey Industries Ltd. and provided free Medical Treatment with free Medicine Distribution to the local villagers under the expertise team of qualified doctors lead by Dr.Rajat Paul and team of Doctors from “NAZARETH HOSPITAL”. During this Health Camp the checkup covered Pediatrics, Gynecology and medicine patients. Green Valliey Industries Ltd. got a very good response in this regard and around 190 local people were benefitted by this initative.

 


PLANTATION PROGRAMME ORGANIZED IN THE MEMORY OF OUR LATE CHAIRMAN SHRI G. N. AGARWAL

Trees and plants are the prime source of environmental purification and beautification. Trees inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, reduce temperature and create a healthy effect, both physically and psychologically, on human beings. All the families of the staff quarter devoted their Sunday i.e. on 14th February, 2016 for planting saplings. All of them participated with full enthusiasm for beautification of the staff colony.


PULSE POLIO IMMUNIZATION ORGANIZED BY GVIL MEDICAL TEAM

Intensive PULSE POLIO Immunization Programme is a National programme to eradicate the POLIO VIRUS from the country. Our GVIL Medical Team also participated in the programme under supervision of Health Dept. of Meghalaya Govt. for the 1st round and 2nd round i.e. 22nd to 24 th February, 2016. Total 40 children were immunized in the GVIL Plant and market Campus.


TARPAULIN DISTRIBUTION IN NONGSNING VILLAGE TO THE AFFECTED PEOPLE IN HAIL STORM

MAX CEMENT distributed tarpaulin to those villagers whose houses were damaged due to hail storm on 28th April, 2016 at night. A team from Max Cement visited all the houses at around 10.30 AM on 29th April, 2016 along with the Print Media, BDO – Khliehriat, MDC – JHADC , Village Headman and Secretary for survey and immediate support. All the villagers were feeling appeased with prompt action by GVIL representative.


FREE MEDICAL CAMP ORGANIZED BY GREEN VALLIEY INDUSTRIES

The Green Valliey Industries Ltd. (MAX CEMENT) organized a FREE MEDICAL CAMP at LUM-MYRLI VILLAGE, P/O- SONAPUR, Dist - EAST JAINTIA HILLS, MEGHALAYA, on 26th of February, 2016. The camp was conducted by our Company Doctor Dr. RajatPaul accompanied by the staff nurses of LUMSNONG PHC. 75 patients were checked and provided medicine in the camp.


SWACHH MAX EVENT

There was also an event organized for cleaning the staff quarter area on 14th February, 2016 by the residential of the staff quarter with the aim of Swachh Max Plant. The main objective was to bring out an improvement in general quality of life nearby residential quarters by promoting cleanliness and hygiene.


FLOOD RELIEF INITIATIVE

The Max Cement office exhibited strength and humanity during one of the critical hours, the North East has ever come across, by organizing a relief camp for the flood stricken areas and their respective population. Along with the MLA of Guwahati and Ex. BJP President, Mr. Siddharth Bhattcharya, several eminent dignitaries and officials from Max Cement were also present during the release of the relief provisions for the disaster stricken victims, not only at Guwahati but also other affected areas of Assam.
